Sleeping for a whole day – Relaxation, Serenity
The world we live in is created by our thoughts and emotions alone, which, day by day, are chosen by each of us. But sometimes, no matter what we choose to feel in that particular moment, we somehow get overthrown by a bad feeling. And that is good too. You ask why? How do you think we would otherwise recognize the good feelings and distinguish them from bad ones? How do you think we would know light without darkness? In the end of the day, there is no good or bad, but the emotions can sometimes feel a little off, I might say. For me, yesterday was a very strange day indeed, when, no matter what I tried or thought of, I couldn’t replace the bad feeling of emptiness inside my chest.
Why? Well, if you read my previous dare you would know. But regardless of how I felt a day before, yesterday was a new day for me and I wanted to experience a new dare. I decided to perform one dare I was dreaming of for a long time, in fact, far too long to be honest and that is “sleeping for a whole day”. Yes, I did that and I am more than happy and proud of my self that I finally experienced it. It’s refreshing, relaxing and sometimes necessary. It’s everything you can think of and more, believe me!
Yesterday I woke up like every morning, but this time I was feeling ‘’crappy’’, so after an hour of being awake I went back to my bed. I slept until lunch time, ate something small and went back to bed. Then I woke up again around eleven in the evening, had a snack and went to sleep again. All together I slept around twenty-nine hours, can you even imagine that? Have you ever slept for that long? Well, I have not, not that I would recall it.
Today I woke up at eight o’clock in the morning and I felt more clear, refreshed and regenerated then I felt for years. I’m so happy that I finally allowed myself to experience the full refreshment and revitalization. Now I’m ready to rock the world!
We, humans, can sometimes act very strangely and unusual. We’re able to go beyond our limits so many times, that our body literally shuts down and we have to put it into a standby, like I’ve done it yesterday. Fortunately I learned to direct and control my emotions most of the time, so moments like this are very very rare in my life. If your body shuts down for a day it’s ok, but what do you think happens when we abandon the body and experience stress on a daily basis? Where do you think all the unhealthy situations come from that people experience? Think about that for a moment…
Let me say this – first of all, we all have to take care of ourselves, our body and mind, allow our self to sleep a day or even two, if necessary, to recharge and cool down our body, then we can proceed with the activities relaxed and efficient. If we don’t allow ourselves to recharge, we are destroying the body and I’m sure none of us would want that, right? 😉
With light and joy,
